A Rabbit and His Dissertation

Rabbit & foxes & wolves
A rabbit ran out of his burrow on a sunny afternoon to enjoy the good weather. He was so relaxed that he did not guard himself against anyone. A fox followed him and caught him, “What a good hunch!”

“Hold on!” said the rabbit, “You’d better wait for several days.”

“Why?”

“Er….” Said the rabbit, smiling, “I am writing my doctoral dissertation.”

“Hah! What a stupid excuse! What’s the topic about?”

Rabbits are Superior to Foxes and Wolves.”

“Uh-huh! Ridiculous! Are you crazy? I want to eat you just now. Everyone knows we are smarter than you rabbits.”

“According to my research, this is not necessarily so. If you want to know why, you can come with me to read my paper. If you are not convinced, you can eat me then.”

“You are really crazy!”

But the fox was very curious and went along. “Just reading a paper will cost me nothing.”

But fox was never seen again….

Several days later, the rabbit came out again. A wolf sprang out of the bush, caught him and was about to eat him.

“Wait!” said the rabbit, “You can’t eat me now!”

“How come? My fluffy appetizer!”

“I have almost finished my thesis—Rabbits are Superior to Foxes and Wolves.”

The wolf burst into laughter so badly that he had to let go of his prey.

“Maybe I shouldn’t eat you. You are so crazy and perhaps you have some contagious disease!”

“You can read my paper yourself. If you don’t agree with me, then eat me.”

Then the wolf went into the rabbit’s hole. Again, he made no appearance just like the fox did.

The rabbit finally finished his thesis and was celebrating in a lettuce garden.

Another rabbit came over, “What’s up? You look so happy!”

“Of course, I have finished my thesis—Rabbits are Superior to Foxes and Wolves.”

“Do you think so?” It sounds so ridiculous.”

They went into the hole together, and a messy room that is typical of postgraduates came into their sight. The computer in which this controversial paper was saved was sitting in a corner, with two big piles of bones on both sides, and a big lion licking his lips in the middle.

The rabbit introduced the lion to his friend. “This is my supervisor

Success is Not So Difficult

Success is Not So Difficult -successful people
In 1965, a student from South Korea went to Cambridge University for psychology.

He always went to cafes every afternoon for the conversation some successful people engaged in: Nobel Prize winners, academic authorities, and some economists. They were very humorous, took life easy and their success as something sure to come.

Some time later, he found he was cheated by the so-called successful people in his own country. Their exaggeration about the hardship involved in starting a business frightened young men. That is to say, their experience in achieving success knowingly or unknowingly made those who craved for success beat a retreat in the face of difficulties.

As a student in psychology, he thought it was necessary to do some research on their attitudes. In 1970, he turned in his thesis—Success is Not So Difficult as You Assume—to Professor Well Braden, the founder of the modern Economic Psychology.

After reading it, professor Braden was overjoyed at the new findings: this hadn’t been studied before, although it was common in the eastern countries as well as throughout the world. With pleasure, he wrote to his schoolmate, Park Chung Hee, president of South Korea at that time, saying, “I am not sure how much it can help you, but I am convinced that it must be more influential than any decrees.”

This book witnessed the economic launch in South Korea, and encouraged thousands of Koreans as expected. It tells us from a new perspective that success is not necessarily related to hardship. As long as you have an interest in something and keep up, you will succeed, because God endowed you enough time and wisdom.

This young man in this story later became the president of the Pan Asia Motors Corporation of South Korea.

Li Ka-Shing and a Coin-Classical Stories

Li Ka Shing lost a two-yuan coin when getting his car keys.

It was raining, and the coin rolled under the car. If he drove the car, the coin would roll into a sewer. Li ka-Shing then squatted to pick the coin up.

An Indian waiter on duty saw it and picked it up for him.

Li Ka-Shing accepted the coin gave 100 yuan to him as a reward.

Li explained, “The coin would disappear if I didn’t pick it up and let it roll into the sewer. Money is the fortune that the world creates and it shouldn’t be wasted. I gave 100 yuan to the waiter and he can spend it when necessary. In my opinion, Money can be spent but not wasted.”

A Hong Kong reporter once asked Li, “When was the happiest moment in your life?”

Li said, “The time when we opened a store facing the street. We worked the whole day, closing the store at dusk. Counting the banknotes with my wife in the dim light would be my happiest moment.”

Li’s answer was quite unexpected to the reporter. It’s a wonderful answer. It’s so honest that everyone would smile an understanding smile.

Habits could be good or bad.

Habits could be good or bad.

Good habits will reward you in your whole life time, and help you achieve success, In contrast, bad habits are obstacles on your way to success.

Therefore , everyone should look into themselves for all the bad habits ,such as oversleeping, bragging, smoking, avoiding responsibility , doing no sports and so on . Try to get rid of them , and not to be held back by them.

How can we quit our bad habits? The only way is to have good habits.

Say, if you think I gave a wonderful speech, please clap your hands…..

Well, have you noticed which palm is on the top, the left one or the right one ? Then do it in a reverse way. It takes some time to get used to it. Psychology tells us that it takes at least two weeks to change a habit.

To change habits is a bitter but endurable process, and good plans can take us there, while bad habits will take us nowhere.

Never let the bad habits ruin us!

Aidiba

Aidiba get angry all the same
There lived a man named Aidiba in ancient Tibet. Whenever he got mad at of had an argument with someone, he always ran back home and ran around his house and land for three circles, and then sat in his field, gasping.

His house and farmland became larger and larger as he worked very hard, but he would still do the same as usual whenever he had arguments with other people.

Everyone wondered why Aidiba always did so when he was angry. But he never talked about this when he was asked.

Aidiba was very old many years later. His house and land were several times larger than before, but he still walked round his land and house with a stick in his hand whenever he was angry. His grandson begged hi, “Grandpa, you are old now, and nobody nearby has larger land than you. You can not run around our house and land when you are angry. Would you please tell me why?”

A Story of The Great Judge

This story took place about 400 years ago.
In 1608, James I, the King of England, was idling about in his palace when it suddenly occurred to him that he might just as well go to the Royal Court to deal with several cases himself. But quite unexpectedly, Coke, the great judge, refused his request.
“All this country is under the reign of me. Don’t I have the rights to deal with some small cases?” questioned the King angrily.
“You’re Majesty! Please calm down. Although you are head of the country, and both domestic and foreign affairs are subject to you, you shouldn’t deal with the cases!” insisted the Judge.
     “That’s ridiculous!” said the King.....http://www.baby-growths.com/coke-the-great-judge/

a Young Painter

from:A Story of a Young Painter
A young painter was eager to improve his painting so that he could paint something impressive for all. He had an idea for this.
He took a painting that he thought was his best to the market. Putting a brush-pen beside it, he invited the on-lookers to point out the flaws.
He looked so sincere that many of them voiced their opinions earnestly. When he went back home in the evening, he found the painting was marked all over. The painting was worthless!
This gave the young painter a big blow. He was so depressed that he even doubted whether he should continue painting. Seeing an ambitious young man so dismayed and discouraged, his teacher wondered why. His teacher laughed when he learned the whole matter, and suggested the young man ....
